WIN!!!

SCORE!!!! SCOTUS gave us a victory this week. We are over the top excited for the win. The Supreme Court voted 6-3 to honor the civil rights act which protects the rights of LGBTQ people. Even though this is a win on the federal level we still have a long way to go on the state level in Pennsylvania. Right now people can be fired or evicted just because they are gay. Although now we can take this to the supreme court when necessary, it would be in our best interest to have the fairness act passed which would protect all of the rights of the LGBTQ community in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Write your local legislators, right to Governor Wolf, do what you can to bring attention to the situation. Most people you speak to will have no idea But these protections don’t exist. We can do this together. The time is now. This is a big defeat for the administration and power right now who have been working hard to take away rights in so many diverse areas. Stand strong.
